Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using ASI criteria
- Provide individual counseling and opiate addiction education to patients in methadone maintenance and detox programs
- Coordinate care and liaise with community and regulatory agencies (CSAT, State Methadone Authority, Probation/Parole, housing services)
- Document timely and accurate progress notes, specimen/UA results, and required patient paperwork in the EMR
- Monitor patient condition and adapt treatment plans to support recovery and safety
- Submit timely requests for take-home medications and assist with dose justification processes
- Provide crisis intervention as needed and support patient advocacy efforts
- Participate in program evaluation, staff meetings, and counseling supervision to improve service quality
Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) — required (or actively in process if specified by state rules)
- Experience working with opiate-addicted populations — required
- Skilled in conducting assessments, ASI utilization, treatment plan development, and service coordination
- Familiarity with urine drug testing (UA) handling and interpretation
- Current CPR and First Aid certification — preferred
- Two supervisory reference forms — required
- Ability to work on-site during business hours and travel as necessary
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of opioid use disorder treatment, methadone maintenance, and detox protocols
- Regulatory compliance with Federal and State OTP standards
- Proficiency with EMR systems (SAMMS noted) and timely documentation practices
- Crisis intervention skills and ability to manage stressful situations calmly
- Understanding of local drug trends, psychosocial aspects of addiction, and community resources
- Patient advocacy, case management, and service coordination skills
- Ability to compose interpretative summaries, transition plans, and discharge summaries
