Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural care for cardiac and peripheral interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor patients throughout Cath Lab procedures using advanced hemodynamic and imaging systems
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment such as IVUS, OCT, Philips Laser System and atherectomy devices
• Support cardiologists, interventional radiologists and surgeons during left/right heart caths, stenting, thrombectomy and more
• Perform pre- and post-procedure patient care, including transport and handoffs to recovery areas
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage, responding promptly to urgent cases during evenings, nights and weekends
• Document procedures and patient status accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab nursing experience (required)
• Current Oklahoma RN license or compact license accepted
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS (AHA) required (attach to submission packet if available)
• NIH certification required
• Two supervisory reference forms within the last two years (required for submission)
• Ability to work some holidays while on assignment
• Recent travel nurse experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac and peripheral interventional procedural monitoring
• Experience with Left and Right Heart Cath, PTCA, stenting, thrombectomy, atherectomy and carotid/peripheral interventions
• Familiarity with Philips Laser System, IVUS, OCT and coronary/peripheral atherectomy devices
• Experience with LEXISCAN Stress Test monitoring
• Comfort using Siemens Artis Zee C-arm and McKesson CPACS/Cardiology/Hemodynamic systems
• Strong peri-procedural patient assessment and transport coordination skills
• Ability to function effectively during on-call activations and in fast-paced procedural environments
