Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for ICU/CCU patients, monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Deliver advanced cardiac and post-op care, including titration of vasoactive meds and hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage ventilators, advanced airways, and other critical care devices with confidence
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure accurate patient records and team communication
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Respond to trauma activations and urgent situations as part of a Level II trauma center team
• Float to Med/Surg units when needed, providing safe, patient-centered care across settings

Qualifications

• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience in ICU and/or CCU critical care nursing
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and computerized documentation
• Comfort and willingness to float to Med/Surg and adapt to unit needs
• Experience working in a trauma center or higher-acuity environment is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and clinical decision-making
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of critical medications
• Ventilator management and advanced airway support
• Proficient electronic charting skills in EPIC
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high-acuity patients
