Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and optimize MRI scanners by adjusting technical settings and scanning parameters
• Assist radiologists and medical staff during exams and procedures with professionalism
• Complete accurate documentation, archiving, and retrieval of imaging studies
• Retrieve prior images and relevant patient information to ensure thorough exams
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on MRI equipment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and meet DNV and hospital standards
• Provide compassionate patient care, including positioning and preparation for scans

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA accredited Radiology program or equivalent
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
• Certified MRI Technician certification required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Previous MRI experience (experience level as required by facility)
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and work beyond a standard 40-hour week when needed
• Must not reside within 90 miles of the facility (per client requirement)

Education

• Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of MRI procedures, image acquisition and image processing
• Familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy and patient positioning techniques
• Comfortable using EMR systems, MS Office, and standard imaging software
• Ability to troubleshoot scanner issues and perform routine equipment checks
• Excellent documentation skills for archiving and billing workflows
• Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Team-focused communication and a commitment to patient confidentiality
