Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, left/right heart catheterizations and diagnostic caths
• Support peripheral vascular procedures such as angioplasty, carotid stenting and thrombectomy with precise equipment setup and sterile technique
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and maintain accurate procedural documentation
• Prepare, operate and maintain fluoroscopy equipment and PACS imaging support
• Scrub and maintain the sterile field during procedures, ensuring patient safety and infection control
• Assist with device insertions and programming including temporary pacemakers, PPMs and AICD support
• Manage inventory and ensure supplies and specialized devices (e.g., Impella, coils) are available and functioning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RT, PT, pharmacy, rapid response) to deliver coordinated patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab or related interventional experience
• Required certifications: ARRT, Fluoro Permit (or pending with proof of application), BLS, ACLS
• RCIS preferred but not accepted in lieu of ARRT unless 5+ years of RCIS experience (manager discretion)
• Willingness to be on-call as required by unit (call required)
• Comfortable charting in Epic (preferred)
• Ability to work Day 4x10 schedule (06:30 - 17:00) and attend 30-hour orientation

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; preferred: Associate degree or certificate in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures (diagnostic and interventional)
• Electrophysiology studies and device support (AICD, PPM)
• Vascular studies and peripheral interventions
• Fluoroscopy operation and safety
• Hemodynamic monitoring and Impella support
• Sterile technique, scrub and procedural setup
• PACS imaging familiarity and Epic charting
• Equipment operation, maintenance and inventory management
