Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain a sterile field and scrub confidently during a wide range of vascular and cardiac procedures
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot cath lab equipment including fluoroscopy and PACS systems
• Provide accurate hemodynamic monitoring and support during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Assist with cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, PCI, PTCA, Impella insertion, and pacemaker procedures
• Chart patient care clearly and promptly in Epic to ensure seamless care continuity
• Stock supplies, maintain inventory, and help ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained
• Support the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, patient-centered care in acute settings

Qualifications

• ARRT (preferred/expected) and current Fluoroscopy Permit or proof of application for the permit at time of submission
• BLS and ACLS current certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab or Cardiac/IR procedural experience preferred
• RCIS considered only with significant experience (typically 5+ years) when ARRT not available
• Willingness to participate in on-call schedule; weekend requirement is not regularly required
• Pending state fluoroscopy permits accepted if application has been submitted prior to submission
• Able to complete a 30-hour orientation

Education

• Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or related allied health field preferred
• Or equivalent clinical experience with required certifications

Knowledge & Skills

• Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety
• Cardiac Cath Lab procedures: diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, stent placement, pacemaker insertion, EP studies
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation during procedures
• Familiarity with Epic charting and PACS image systems
• Sterile technique, set-up, and intra-procedure equipment handling
• Ability to assist with specialized interventions such as coil embolization and peripheral vascular procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork in high-acuity acute care environments
