Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor trends, and escalate when needed
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient-centered care plans
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and promote healthy outcomes
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Tennessee (or eligible for Tennessee licensure)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
• Ability to pass standard background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Current immunizations per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Patient assessment, vitals monitoring, and wound care skills
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in busy settings
• Comfort with patient and family education
