Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality ICU care to adult and pediatric patients with skill and compassion
- Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes closely
- Administer medications and manage infusion therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the hospitalist physician and interdisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
- Respond to emergencies using ACLS, PALS and BLS protocols
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly and timely
- Mentor and support team members while working independently with minimal supervision
- Float to other qualified departments as needed to maintain smooth patient care operations
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience (ICU experience strongly preferred)
- Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications (required)
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Comfort working in a fast-paced ICU caring for both adult and pediatric patients
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass standard background and health screenings
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Completion of relevant critical care orientation or specialty training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and monitoring
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and management
- Medication administration and IV infusion management
- Ventilator basics and respiratory support familiarity
- Strong clinical judgment and prioritization skills
- Clear clinical documentation and communication with care teams
