Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide technical and clinical support to anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists across operating rooms, pre‑op, PACU, endoscopy and other procedural areas
• Prepare, maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment and delivery systems before, during and after cases
• Assist with patient transportation, safe positioning and transfer for procedures
• Perform airway management assistance and help with insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines under supervision
• Document equipment checks and patient care activities in Cerner accurately and promptly
• Respond to emergency situations professionally, including taking call as assigned
• Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure smooth case flow and excellent patient experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years experience working as an anesthesia technician preferred
• BLS certification required
• Graduate of an ASATT‑approved program preferred but not required
• Comfortable working in a 24/7 clinical environment with rotating weekends/holidays and floating between locations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under the supervision of licensed anesthesia providers and registered nurses

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent
• ASATT program graduate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Airway management support and familiarity with basic airway devices
• Intravenous line assistance and safe patient handling/positioning
• Experience with anesthesia equipment setup, maintenance and basic troubleshooting
• Documentation skills with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
• Understanding of sterile technique, infection control and perioperative safety
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced procedural environment and work well in a team
