Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, precise radiation therapy treatments to oncology patients using ARIA and Varian systems
- Perform patient setup, positioning and immobilization with compassion and attention to detail
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and nursing staff to ensure quality care
- Use imaging modalities such as CBCT/kV/mV to verify treatment delivery and make adjustments as needed
- Document treatments accurately in EPIC/ARIA and maintain clear patient records
- Practice and promote radiation safety and infection control procedures at all times
- Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous improvement of clinic workflows
Qualifications
- Current CA State License for Radiation Therapists (required)
- ARRT (T) (Radiation Therapy) certification required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience
- ARIA skillset required; EPIC experience preferred
- Experience with Varian 21 EX/iX equipment required
- Ability to lift/transfer patients and perform required physical tasks of the role
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's) or equivalent clinical training
Knowledge & Skills
- Radiation therapy treatment delivery and safety practices
- Proficiency with ARIA treatment management system
- Familiarity with EPIC charting (preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Varian 21 EX/iX linear accelerators
- Image-guided techniques including CBCT and kV/mV imaging
- Treatment planning concepts (IMRT, external beam therapy) and understanding of Pinnacle/Eclipse systems
- Strong patient care, communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
