Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with compassion and accuracy
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following hospital policy and state practice act
• Document patient care thoroughly and timely to ensure continuity and safety
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create individualized plans of care
• Escalate safety concerns and clinical changes using critical thinking and the appropriate chain of command
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance to drive better outcomes
• Provide education and support to patients and families to promote recovery and self-care

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and seasonal flu as per facility policy
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend and holiday coverage
• Able to float to other units as needed; adaptability and teamwork are a must
• Prior inpatient nursing experience preferred but motivated new grads with strong skills may be considered

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and the care team
• Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Ability to develop and implement individualized patient plans of care
