Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across the emergency department
• Rotate through Main ED, Fast Track, and ED Observation to meet patient and unit needs
• Perform triage, quick registration, and support entry screening as required
• Respond to changing patient volumes by adapting assignments and priorities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, effective care
• Assist with COVID testing and immunization clinics when called upon
• Maintain required certifications and follow facility policies and protocols

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (state licensure required for assignment in Arizona)
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Emergency Department (required)
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC/TNCC as applicable)
• ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certification required (facility can obtain with a $105 fee)
• Ability to float between ED areas and other departments as needed
• Strong critical thinking, triage skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Professional communication skills and team-oriented attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency care and acute patient assessment
• Triage and rapid prioritization
• Critical thinking and clinical decision-making
• Experience in Fast Track and Observation unit workflows
• Familiarity with COVID testing and immunization clinic procedures
• Ability to manage variable patient volumes and adapt to changing assignments
