Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop clear care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, care plans, and follow-up
• Document patient care comprehensively in the electronic health record
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Advanced certifications such as ACLS or specialty certifications (preferred)
• Comfortable with medical-surgical patient populations and interventions
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Previous clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and triage in a busy environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient/family education techniques
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
