Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients for ENT exams and minor procedures
- Assist providers during procedures and biopsies, including setup and instrument handling
- Manage authorization forms and insurance verification to keep care moving smoothly
- Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests with accuracy and empathy
- Perform telephone triage and follow-up phone calls to ensure continuity of care
- Chart patient encounters and procedures in EPIC in a timely, compliant manner
- Maintain clean and safe clinic equipment, including autoclaving and high-level scope disinfection
Qualifications
- MA-C (Medical Assistant Certification) required
- Valid Washington state license at time of submission
- Minimum ~6 months healthcare experience preferred; ENT experience a plus but first-timers accepted
- Proven experience with EPIC charting required
- Strong communication skills and comfort with phone triage and patient interactions
- Ability to float to sister clinics as needed within your skillset
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) required
Knowledge & Skills
- EPIC electronic charting expertise
- Authorization forms and prior insurance verification processes
- Handling pharmacy calls and coordinating patient refill requests
- Telephone triage and patient follow-up best practices
- Assisting with ENT procedures and biopsies
- Rooming patients and capturing accurate vitals, height, and weight
- Autoclaving and high-level disinfecting of scopes
