Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients efficiently and with care, obtaining vitals and height/weight to set the tone for excellent visits
- Document patient encounters and procedures accurately in EPIC to keep patient care seamless
- Perform insurance verification and complete authorization forms to remove barriers to care
- Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests with professionalism and timeliness
- Provide telephone triage and follow-up phone calls to support patient needs between visits
- Set up and assist providers with ENT procedures and biopsies, maintaining sterile technique
- Support clinic flow by coordinating schedules, assisting colleagues, and floating to sister clinics when asked
Qualifications
- MA-C certification required (Medical Assistant - Certified)
- Valid Washington state license at time of submission
- Minimum ~6 months clinical experience preferred; ENT experience preferred but first-timers with relevant skills are welcome
- Proven experience charting in EPIC required
- BLS preferred
- Comfortable with outpatient clinic pace and occasional floating between sites
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- MA Certification (MA-C) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Epic charting and electronic health record management
- Authorization forms and insurance verification processes
- Telephone triage and professional patient communication
- Handling pharmacy calls and medication refill requests
- Rooming patients, taking vital signs, height and weight
- Setting up and assisting with ENT procedures and biopsies
- Autoclaving and high-level disinfecting scopes
