Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients efficiently and with care, obtaining vitals and height/weight to set the tone for excellent visits
• Document patient encounters and procedures accurately in EPIC to keep patient care seamless
• Perform insurance verification and complete authorization forms to remove barriers to care
• Handle pharmacy calls and patient refill requests with professionalism and timeliness
• Provide telephone triage and follow-up phone calls to support patient needs between visits
• Set up and assist providers with ENT procedures and biopsies, maintaining sterile technique
• Support clinic flow by coordinating schedules, assisting colleagues, and floating to sister clinics when asked

Qualifications

• MA-C certification required (Medical Assistant - Certified)
• Valid Washington state license at time of submission
• Minimum ~6 months clinical experience preferred; ENT experience preferred but first-timers with relevant skills are welcome
• Proven experience charting in EPIC required
• BLS preferred
• Comfortable with outpatient clinic pace and occasional floating between sites

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MA Certification (MA-C) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Epic charting and electronic health record management
• Authorization forms and insurance verification processes
• Telephone triage and professional patient communication
• Handling pharmacy calls and medication refill requests
• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, height and weight
• Setting up and assisting with ENT procedures and biopsies
• Autoclaving and high-level disinfecting scopes
