Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners safely and perform high-quality CT exams
- Perform general radiology duties including x-rays, portables and OR imaging
- Start IVs for CT contrast studies when indicated
- Accurately document exams in PACS (McKesson) and EMR (Meditech)
- Float between CT and radiology areas to meet patient and department needs
- Collaborate with RRA staff and radiologists (night CT coverage is remote)
- Maintain equipment and follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear communication with patients and team members
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) (CT) certification required
- Valid Oregon state radiologic technologist license at time of submittal
- BLS certification required
- Comfortable starting IVs for contrast-enhanced CT
- Ability to float between CT and radiology and adapt to varying shifts
- Professional communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (typically Associate degree)
- ARRT certification (CT) and required state licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with CT protocols and GE CT equipment
- Experience using PACS (McKesson) and EMR (Meditech)
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and imaging best practices
- Skilled in patient positioning, IV starts, and contrast administration
- Ability to work with RRA and remote radiologist workflows
