Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
• Perform focused assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient needs
• Respond effectively to emergencies and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum clinical experience in acute care or relevant specialty preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a per-diem schedule
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and state licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and critical thinking in fast-paced environments
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Infection control practices and patient safety focus
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Prioritization and time management during busy overnight shifts
