Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret rhythm changes to keep patients safe
• Perform timely assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Administer meds and treatments per protocol with careful documentation
• Respond to emergencies and escalate care following established code and safety procedures
• Provide compassionate patient teaching and support during hospitalization
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation and shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active RN license with Nursys verification (state licensure required)
• Telemetry experience and comfort with cardiac rhythm interpretation
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CPI de-escalation training required
• DCI/BVP certification as listed by the facility
• Ability to work per diem night shifts and remain dependable for assigned shifts
• Completion of required pre-employment screenings and immunizations listed by the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition skills
• Solid patient assessment and prioritization in acute care settings
• Clear verbal and written communication for handoffs and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Familiarity with prime competency exams and skills checklists used in facility onboarding
• Basic proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Team-player attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced hospital environment
