Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapy to patients with compassion and clinical skill
Perform patient assessments, monitor respiratory status and respond to changes quickly
Deliver and manage respiratory treatments and ventilator support as indicated
Collaborate with nurses, physicians and multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans
Document patient care accurately and promptly in the medical record
Participate in orientation and training activities to stay current with protocols and equipment
Respond to respiratory emergencies and assist in critical care situations

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT or CRT) or eligible for licensure
Ability to obtain or hold a Missouri respiratory care license
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced certifications such as ACLS preferred
Comfortable working in a pediatric and/or specialty care environment is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Competence in ventilator management and respiratory modalities
Skilled in arterial blood gas interpretation and respiratory assessments
Familiarity with respiratory equipment and infection control practices
Accurate clinical documentation and charting in electronic medical records
Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family education
