Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert neonatal respiratory care in the NICU, including assessment and management of infants on respiratory support
• Manage and titrate CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP and mechanical ventilation using Hamilton C1 and compatible ventilators
• Perform bedside clinical interventions and collaborate with the NICU care team to optimize respiratory outcomes
• Document patient assessment, interventions and ventilator settings accurately in Meditech
• Monitor patient response to therapies and escalate changes in condition promptly to the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in unit routines including every other weekend coverage and contribute to a positive patient and family experience

Qualifications

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required
• Minimum 2 years of general RT experience (must-have)
• NICU experience required; prior neonatal ventilator management strongly preferred
• BLS required; ACLS and NRP preferred and can be obtained after hire if needed
• Proficiency with Hamilton C1, Hamilton MR1, V60 or similar ventilators
• Experience with Meditech or similar clinical documentation systems
• Active state respiratory license and up-to-date immunizations and required credentials

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation and neonatal respiratory management
• CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula and Bubble CPAP expertise
• Hands-on experience with Hamilton C1, Hamilton MR1 and V60 ventilators
• Clinical documentation best practices in Meditech
• Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills for NICU populations
• Interdisciplinary communication and escalation skills
• Infection control and neonatal safety procedures
