Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and therapies to patients with a range of pulmonary conditions
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory support equipment
Assess patient respiratory status and collaborate with the care team to adjust treatment plans
Deliver aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway management as indicated
Perform accurate documentation of interventions, patient responses, and ventilator settings
Educate patients and families on respiratory techniques, equipment use, and discharge care plans
Participate in safety and quality initiatives to improve respiratory care outcomes

Qualifications

Current Georgia Respiratory Care license or eligibility to obtain licensure
Credentialed as a CRT or RRT preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS or PALS a plus depending on unit
Prior acute care or hospital RT experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate degree or diploma in Respiratory Therapy or related field

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with ventilators and respiratory support devices
Knowledge of pulmonary assessment and respiratory treatment modalities
Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols
Ability to document clearly in electronic medical records
Comfort working in fast-paced acute care settings and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
