Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide expert ventilator care for critically ill patients
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide respiratory interventions
• Deliver advanced respiratory therapy treatments in critical care settings
• Document patient assessments, interventions and responses accurately in Meditech
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care plans and equipment
• Support unit workflows and participate in unit policies and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience (ventilator and ABG experience emphasized)
• Proven ability to manage ventilators and perform ABG interpretation
• Experience with Meditech and Rapidcom is a plus
• Strong documentation, communication and teamwork skills
• Current state licensure and required healthcare certifications as applicable

Education

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred
• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program (or equivalent) recommended

• Rapidcom for ABG workflow
