Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care and evaluation for patients with conditions like asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema
• Administer treatments including mechanical ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen therapy
• Perform patient assessments and develop collaborative care plans
• Operate specialized equipment like V60, Servo-1, and Servo-U ventilators
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech system
• Build positive relationships with physicians and healthcare team members
• Deliver stroke education and support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Current NBRC certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Valid Florida RT License ready to go
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications all current
• 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
• At least one prior travel assignment under your belt
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced 558-bed facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in mechanical ventilation and respiratory therapies
• Skilled with CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow nasal cannula systems
• Proficient in patient assessment and oxygen therapy techniques
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation (preferred but we'll train)
• Strong collaborative skills for working with physicians and teams
• Adaptability to new environments and equipment
