Shift Type: Wednesday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care overnight to MST patients
Assess and document patient condition, changes, and responses to interventions
Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
Implement safety and de-escalation strategies appropriate to the MST setting
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
Educate patients and families on care, safety, and next steps in plain language
Maintain clear, thorough electronic and paper documentation for continuity of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; advanced certifications a plus
Previous clinical nursing experience; MST, behavioral health, or emergency experience preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for overnight care
Ability to work independently during per-diem overnight shifts and escalate appropriately

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and triage for acute and behavioral needs
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
De-escalation techniques and safety-focused patient management
Familiarity with electronic health records and clear clinical documentation
Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
