Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and recognize arrhythmias and clinical changes promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely following hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and home care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the chart
• Respond to rapid changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Experience working on telemetry units or with cardiac monitoring systems preferred
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
• Solid clinical assessment skills and comfort managing acute cardiac patients
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of ECG strips
• Cardiac rhythms and basic arrhythmia management
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and titration protocols
• Strong clinical documentation and electronic health record familiarity
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and rapid assessment skills
• Patient and family education with compassionate communication
