Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for inpatient rehabilitation patients
• Assess and monitor patient status, recognizing changes and escalating when needed
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies using IV pumps with precision
• Operate feeding pumps, specialty beds, and patient lifts safely and confidently
• Accurately document care and clinical findings in Meditech
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and follow rehab-focused care plans
• Support patient experience initiatives by delivering compassionate med-surg and rehab care
• Follow hospital policies and regulatory standards to maintain CARF and Joint Commission quality

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Comfortable with 12-hour shift schedules and weekend availability
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation
• Experience with IV pumps, feeding pumps, patient lifts, and specialty beds
• Rehabilitation nursing or med-surg experience is a plus
• Dialysis exposure is beneficial given unit procedures

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient documentation and charting in Meditech
• Skilled in IV pump and feeding pump operation and troubleshooting
• Safe patient handling with lifts and transfer equipment
• Experience using specialty beds and associated equipment
• Understanding of rehab nursing principles and med-surg care
• Ability to work with patient ratios typical for the unit (5-6)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
