Shift Type: Rotating shifts, variable days (includes weekdays, weekends and holidays): 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM; 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM; 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (overnight). Rotating weekends, holidays, and on-call as required.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub across multiple service lines—deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care in General, GYN, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Thoracic, and Robotics cases
• Maintain sterile technique and the integrity of the sterile field throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgical team needs and provide timely instrument and supply management
• Perform thorough pre-op and post-op patient assessments and documentation in Epic
• Operate and manage point-of-care systems such as Pyxis and Vocera to support medication and communication workflows
• Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity during the perioperative experience
• Support trauma and emergency cases when needed, applying Level I trauma principles if applicable
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes and throughput

Qualifications

• Current, valid Ohio RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) only (required)
• Proven ability to both circulate and scrub across multiple surgical service lines
• Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, Vocera, and Outlook (required for documentation and communication)
• Preferred: Level I trauma experience and CNOR certification
• Preferred experience with Robotics, Pediatrics, and Neurology service lines
• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, walk throughout the day and safely lift, push, or pull up to 250 lbs with assistance

• Operating Room circulation and scrubbing techniques
• Sterile processing and instrument handling
• Perioperative patient assessment and safety protocols
• Electronic health record documentation (Epic)
• Medication and supply management systems (Pyxis)
• Clinical communication tools (Vocera) and professional email (Outlook)
• Experience in trauma response and assisting in high-acuity surgical cases
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted procedures and specialty-specific workflows
