Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care during overnight shifts with compassion and professionalism
Assess patients regularly and respond to changes in condition promptly
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient-centered plans
Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
Escalate concerns and communicate effectively during shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse license in California (or compact state privileges where applicable)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Previous experience in medical-surgical or telemetry settings preferred (per-diem experience welcome)
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to variable scheduling

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in medication administration and electronic medical record documentation
Familiarity with patient monitoring and telemetry practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Strong patient education and bedside manner
