Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN license as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or other certifications preferred
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience is highly desirable
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg principles, patient assessment, and care planning
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Skills in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team communication
