Shift Type: 9.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and days to be confirmed) - Med/Surg RN shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
Assess patient condition and implement nursing interventions with sound clinical judgment
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Participate in orientation and unit-based training to maintain competency and best practices

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Louisiana
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience or comfort working in a Medical-Surgical setting preferred
Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-focused attitude
Ability to complete required orientation prior to unit assignment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong Med/Surg assessment and critical thinking skills
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
Ability to triage and prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
Effective patient and family education techniques
