Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients meeting Medical Step-Down level of care
• Assess and monitor patients’ clinical status, intervene promptly for changes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain clear, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Respond effectively to emergencies using BLS/ACLS protocols as needed
• Educate patients and families about care plans, safety, and discharge needs

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio (required)
• Minimum 2 years' RN experience (Medical Step-Down/acute care experience preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers from AHA (required)
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including holiday and weekend rotations
• BSN and Magnet-recognized certifications are preferred

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care and clinical assessment at Medical Step-Down level
• Proficiency in BLS and ACLS protocols (AHA credentials)
• Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts and holiday/weekend rotations
• Strong documentation, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Ability to respond rapidly to clinical changes and emergency situations
