Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care across multiple units as part of the float pool
Assess, monitor, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions using evidence-based practices
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in ICU, ER hold, MTC/Step-Down, and PACU to coordinate care
Document patient care accurately and efficiently in EPIC EMR
Perform advanced life support interventions and respond to codes as needed
Mentor and support colleagues when floating to unfamiliar units to ensure continuity of care
Maintain adherence to BLS and ACLS protocols and hospital policies

Qualifications

Active RN license (state of practice) required
Minimum 2 years of ICU/critical care experience in a similar-sized facility
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred or required
Comfort floating to ER, step-down, PACU and other critical areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and bedside monitoring skills
Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
Familiarity with ER/hold workflows and step-down/PACU care processes
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
Solid clinical judgment and ability to prioritize in high-acuity situations
Accurate EPIC documentation and electronic charting skills
