Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced ED setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; ability to obtain NH license if not already licensed
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous experience in Emergency Department or high-acuity settings preferred
• Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts and participating in orientation
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage principles and emergency nursing workflows
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients simultaneously
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy skills
• Strong assessment skills and rapid clinical decision making
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family communication
