Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift) with rotating on-call/night coverage: weekday call 4:00 PM - 7:30 AM next morning and weekend call Friday 4:00 PM - Monday 7:30 AM. Call rotation typically every 3rd week (includes one call weekend per month and a following week off from call).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and radiology procedures with precision and safety
• Respond to STEMI and emergent IR/cardiology callbacks within the required timeframe and participate in the on-call team
• Provide telemetry monitoring and interpret/assist with dysrhythmia management during procedures
• Administer and monitor procedural and conscious sedation per facility protocols
• Manage invasive lines including pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) monitoring when indicated
• Document thoroughly and accurately in Epic to support continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Transport, Social Services) to optimize patient outcomes
• Practice weekly rotation coverage across IR, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular and EP device implant procedures

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience with REQUIRED Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience
• Demonstrated experience scrub/circulate and working telemetry cases; prior STEMI call participation required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NIH Stroke Scale competency
• Epic charting experience (unit uses EPIC)
• Able to meet on-call schedule and callback expectations (30-minute STEMI callback when called)
• Travelers accepted (first-time travelers welcome)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedural knowledge
• Scrub and circulate skills for cardiac and IR procedures
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• STEMI call response and emergent procedure support
• IV start, pulmonary artery (Swan-Ganz) monitoring, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Familiarity with specialty equipment: MAC Lab, IVUS, Angio systems, Thrombectomy devices, ultrasound units
• Comfortable charting and documentation in Epic
