Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); 36 or 48 hour options available; includes required weekends (4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule); floating to similar units as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care before and after cardiac procedures, ensuring safe transitions and rapid turnover readiness
- Initiate and manage IV therapy, including peripheral and central line care, and administer blood products when indicated
- Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage arrhythmias and non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone
- Respond quickly and effectively as part of Rapid Response/Code teams to stabilize patients in emergency situations
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care for pre/post cath, PPM/AICD, carotid stent and NSTEMI patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Pharmacy, PT, Radiology, Case Management) to coordinate fast-paced admissions, discharges and transfers
- Accurately document care in the charting system (Epic preferred) and follow unit policies, infection control and PPE procedures
- Maintain situational awareness during rapid patient turnover and prioritize tasks to keep patient flow safe and efficient
Qualifications
- Active RN license in applicable state (must meet facility verification requirements)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience with cardiac telemetry or cardiac procedural unit experience (HARD STOP)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), and NIHSS
- Required skills: IV start and strong telemetry experience; must pass EKG testing prior to start
- Comfortable managing non-titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips and responding to dysrhythmias
- Willingness to float to similar units and work required weekend shifts
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac telemetry and continuous rhythm monitoring
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- IV therapy, phlebotomy and central/peripheral line care
- Management of non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix, Nitro)
- Rapid Response / Code team participation and emergency response
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic medical records
- Non-invasive airway management and basic respiratory support (nasal cannula)
- Strong prioritization and time management in high-turnover procedural units
