Location: Woodsville, NH

Start Date: 05-13-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts; specific start/end times and scheduled days to be determined (RN - BHS)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to individuals with behavioral health needs
Assess mental health status and document clinical observations accurately
Implement and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with the treatment team
Administer medications and treatments safely following hospital protocols
De-escalate crises using therapeutic communication and evidence-based interventions
Educate patients and families about coping strategies, resources, and follow-up care

Qualifications

Current RN license in New Hampshire (or multistate license if applicable)
Experience in behavioral health nursing or related psychiatric settings preferred
BLS required; additional psychiatric/mental health certifications a plus
Strong assessment, documentation, and crisis intervention skills
Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in orientation

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
BLS certification required; psychiatric/mental health certifications encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of psychiatric nursing principles and behavioral health interventions
Skilled in therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques
Familiarity with medication administration and safety protocols
Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
