Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon linear accelerators to deliver safe, precise radiation treatments
• Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and stereotactic setups for SRS cases with attention to accuracy
• Implement DIBH and VisionRT/OSMS techniques for motion management where appropriate
• Document treatments and perform chart checks in ARIA (v15) to maintain clear, accurate patient records
• Respond professionally to emergency situations and be familiar with crash cart and defibrillator protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and the multidisciplinary team in a teaching-hospital setting to optimize patient care
• Contribute to continuous improvement and assist with training or mentoring colleagues as needed

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Radiation Therapist license (required)
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience (5 years preferred)
• Proven competency on Varian TrueBeam, Halcyon, and ARIA v15
• Experience with CBCT imaging, SRS setups, and DIBH techniques; VisionRT/OSMS experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required per facility guideline

Knowledge & Skills

• Operation and troubleshooting of Varian TrueBeam and Halcyon systems
• ARIA v15 documentation and charting workflows
• CBCT/kV/mV imaging and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) procedures
• Deep understanding of DIBH techniques and patient positioning (VisionRT/OSMS helpful)
• Comfort working across age groups: pediatrics through geriatrics
• Familiarity with beam modifying/positioning, electron fields, and specialty treatments (TBI/TSI, craniospinal, benign brain tumors)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and emergency response skills
