Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify and dispense medications accurately to ensure patient safety
• Perform sterile compounding (IV) and use Dose Edge for verification
• Provide clinical dosing for vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants
• Conduct medication verification and check Pyxis/Pak Edge automated dispensing systems
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians during compounding and dispensing tasks
• Respond to medication emergencies and check first-dose and emergency med boxes
• Document clinical interventions and communicate with nursing/medical teams

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School
• Licensed to practice Pharmacy in Missouri (MO) — required
• Minimum ~1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience (as listed)
• Experience with sterile compounding (IV) and medication verification
• Familiarity with Dose Edge, Pyxis and Pak Edge automated dispensing systems
• Preferred: ACLS and BLS certifications
• Preferred: NICU experience is a plus

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School

Knowledge & Skills

• Inpatient pharmacy workflows and hospital medication safety practices
• Sterile compounding processes and regulatory compliance
• Clinical dosing protocols for vancomycin, aminoglycosides and anticoagulants
• Meditech EMR experience for charting and medication orders
• Hands-on experience with Dose Edge, Pyxis and Pak Edge
• Strong attention to detail, communication and team supervision skills
