Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric-focused occupational therapy evaluation and treatment with compassion and evidence-based practice
• Design individualized treatment plans that help children reach meaningful functional goals
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and the multidisciplinary team to create consistent carryover at home and school
• Document clinical progress clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
• Participate in orientation and training to integrate with the Shriners team and clinic workflows
• Contribute to a positive clinic culture by mentoring aides and supporting fellow clinicians when needed

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in California (or eligible to obtain CA licensure)
• Current OTR credentials (or equivalent state credentialing)
• Comfort and experience working with pediatric populations preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills for family-centered care and team collaboration
• Reliable transportation for getting to the Sacramento clinic

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (MS/OTD) or equivalent professional degree required

Knowledge & Skills

• Assessment and treatment planning for pediatric motor, sensory, and developmental needs
• Skilled in therapeutic techniques that promote independence in daily living and school activities
• Familiarity with documentation systems and outcome measurement
• Ability to coach families and caregivers with practical home program strategies
• Team-player mindset with good time management and organizational skills
