Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of nuclear medicine procedures including PET scans, HIDA scans, bone scans (3-phase, whole body, limited), myocardial imaging, gastric emptying studies, ventilation/perfusion and thyroid/uptake studies
• Start and maintain IVs for radiopharmaceutical administration with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Safely store, handle and dispose of radioactive materials following facility and regulatory guidelines
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (GE and Siemens) and optimize image quality
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic and other charting systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including radiology, pharmacy and interpretation services to ensure excellent patient care
• Participate in on-call coverage and float to outpatient department as needed

Qualifications

• 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience (as listed in the job details)
• ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB and/or CNMT preferred
• Competence in starting and maintaining IVs
• Demonstrated ability to safely handle radioactive materials and follow isolation/PPE precautions
• Experience with GE and Siemens imaging systems and Epic charting preferred
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and float to nearby outpatient department

Knowledge & Skills

• PET Scan, HIDA Scan, Bone Scan (3-phase, limited, whole body)
• Myocardial imaging including exercise/rest protocols
• Gastric emptying studies
• Ventilation/Perfusion (lung) scans
• Thyroid studies and uptake scans
• Starting/maintaining IVs and patient IV care
• Storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials and radiation safety
• Familiarity with GE and Siemens equipment and Epic documentation
• Strong patient communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making
