Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform NIHSS stroke assessments accurately and promptly as required
• Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and manage treatments safely
• Float between units as needed, adapting quickly to different team workflows
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and participate in required trainings
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete license/certification verifications

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential as required by the facility
• NIHSS certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing and ability to float between units
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and license verification
• Meet facility health requirements: fit test, TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA), COVID vaccine and questionnaires, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza vaccine, physical/health statement, and drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and medical-surgical nursing knowledge
• Proficiency performing NIHSS stroke assessments
• Ability to work nights and cover every other weekend reliably
• Adaptability to float across units and learn unit-specific workflows
• Familiarity with completing specialty competency testing and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced settings
