Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Support mobility and safe transfers while using proper body mechanics
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition promptly
• Assist with meals and feeding while monitoring dietary needs
• Document care accurately and communicate updates to the nursing team
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver quality care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Active CNA certification in New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to start
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and supporting patient needs during the night
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and safe patient handling techniques
• Basic nutrition and feeding assistance knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting
