Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / As-needed, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, supporting dignity and independence
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding
Take and document vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
Support mobility and safe transfers while following proper body mechanics
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team
Help create a warm, home-like environment and engage residents in meaningful activities
Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to ensure resident safety

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active authorization to work in New Mexico
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and flexible availability for per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and safe transfer techniques
Basic knowledge of vital sign measurement and documentation
Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
Effective communication with residents, families, and clinical staff
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care setting
Compassionate bedside manner and patience with older adults
