Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem (as-needed), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift; specific days to be scheduled

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
Assist with safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Document care accurately and timely in the facility’s records
Support mealtime and feeding assistance while respecting resident preferences
Work closely with the care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Comfortable and available to work overnight shifts (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM)
Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

Completion of an approved CNA training program (or equivalent) and CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
Safe transfer and mobility assistance
Infection control and standard precautions
Accurate documentation and time management
Compassionate interpersonal skills and resident-focused care
Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
