Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to maintain comfort and dignity
• Support timely and accurate documentation of care and observations
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the care team
• Follow infection control protocols and promote a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and handling resident care duties
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Prior CNA or direct care experience preferred but new grads welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with patient safety, infection control, and documentation practices
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Physical stamina for lifting, transferring, and assisting residents
