Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding while preserving dignity
Take and record basic vital signs and report changes promptly to the care team
Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate effectively with nurses and families
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep patients safe
Contribute to a positive patient experience through attentive, respectful interactions

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — required
Active authorization to work in New Mexico
CPR/BLS certification — preferred or obtainable upon hire
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working with adult and/or geriatric populations
Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-moving clinical environment
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completed CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care and ADL support
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Safe patient transfers and fall prevention techniques
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Clear, professional communication with interdisciplinary teams
Time management and prioritization on busy shifts
