Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Help create a warm, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity and comfort

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Active state nursing assistant registration or certification appropriate for New Mexico
• Valid basic identification and ability to pass facility background and health screenings
• Comfort working overnight shifts and collaborating with a rotating care team
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong skills are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of state-approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care, hygiene assistance, and safe patient handling
• Good observational skills to recognize and report changes in condition
• Strong communication and teamwork with nurses, therapists, and families
• Ability to follow care plans, infection control practices, and facility policies
• Compassionate bedside manner and dedication to resident-centered care
