Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote independence
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control and facility safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) — must be eligible to work in New Mexico
• BLS/CPR certification required or willing to obtain if not currently held
• Comfortable with hands-on resident care and assisting with ADLs
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Familiarity with infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Ability to document care clearly and follow care plans
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observational skills
