Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately and timely
• Support safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Communicate changes in resident condition to the nursing team clearly and promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Assist with meal service and document intake as required
• Participate in team huddles and follow care plans to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in good standing (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and follow care plans
• Comfortable with 12+ hour day-type shifts and physically able to assist with patient mobility
• Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any state-specific training

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic clinical skills: bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding assistance
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection control practices and adherence to safety protocols
• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and the care team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
• Empathy, patience, and a team-oriented attitude
