Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and communicate changes to the nursing team
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility support while promoting independence
• Accurately document care tasks and observations in facility records
• Work closely with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (or eligible) for New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting is a plus
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
• Infection control and proper use of personal protective equipment
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Resident-centered care and dignity-preserving practices
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good teamwork, time management, and interpersonal skills
